One of the neural processors used in the feature film Star Trek VIII: First Contact, which opened on November 22, 1996.  A neural processor was a device implanted in the nervous system of every Borg drone containing a record of all the information received from the Collective.  After the Enterprise traveled back in time from 2373 to 2063, Captain Picard removed the neural processor implanted in the newly assimilated Ensign Lynch’s abdomen after he gunned him down in the holodeck with a tommy gun. Attaching it to a tricorder, Picard was able to access the processor and discovered the Borg's plot to transform the Enterprise's deflector dish into an interplexing beacon with which to establish a link with the Borg living in the 21st century. The prop is constructed of clear molded plastic with a threaded metal rod with a rubber end, a brass rod capped by a clear red ball, small gear wheels, black decorative lines and brass details. When a button is depressed the prop has interior red lights that blink.  Craig Dow March 21, 2010 - J. B. Stevens.
