Borg Phaser 2

The phaser is made of a double vacuum formed body over wood with sections cut out and painted gunmetal gray with a turned aluminum emitter tip and a side tube insert.

Used in the Star Trek: TNG season six and seven episodes #252 and 253 “Descent, Part I and II,” which aired the weeks of June 21 and September 20, 1993. The Borg, a pseudo-species of cybernetic beings, or cyborgs, from the Delta Quadrant, returned and Lore and Data appeared to reunite to lead them. When Lore ordered that Data needed to prove his loyalty by killing Picard, Data refused. Lore then tried to kill his brother, but Hugh stepped forward from the crowd of Borg and knocked Lore's weapon away. Riker and Worf arrived at the same time with phasers blasting. Data followed Lore, who tried to escape to the lab, but Data fired on, and then deactivated, his brother. The phaser is made of a double vacuum formed body over wood with sections cut out and painted gunmetal gray with a turned aluminum emitter tip and a side tube insert. On the reverse are three Velcro strips for the phaser to attach to a Borg costume. It measures 5” x 2” x 1 1/8”. It was designed by Rick Sternback and built by Makeup & Effects Lab.  Van Eaton Galleries: A Celebration of Popular Culture Auction Lot 483, January 31, 2021 - Profiles In History Hollywood Auction 24 Lot 343, March 31, 2006.
