Seen on the walls of the Borg Cube in the Star Trek: TNG season three episode #174 “The Best of Both Worlds I,” which aired the week of June 18, 1990. The Borg began an invasion of Federation space much sooner than was expected. With the Enterprise unable to affect them, the Borg captured Captain Picard and transformed him into Locutus of Borg, a de facto spokesperson for the collective consciousness.
