This badge accompanied Captain Kirk’s uniform, though it is impossible to confirm its use in the film Star Trek: Generations. The back of the badge features black Velcro, allowing it to fasten onto the black Velcro on the uniform vest. This is significant because William Shatner, who portrayed Captain Kirk, preferred Velcro attachments over pins, while most other badges used pins. This preference makes it highly likely that this badge was used by Shatner. The badge is comprised of a painted metallic brass delta set on a ring with a hollow starburst center.
