Captain Picard's Klingon Overrobe

The full-length hooded robe is made of gray/black wool in a wave pattern. A background command red jumpsuit uniform with replica boots, rank pips and combadge completes the costume.

Worn by Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard in the Star Trek: TNG season three episode #165 “Sins of The Father,” which aired the week of March 19, 1990. The Enterprise received Klingon first officer Kurn, Worf’s brother, on the Federation exchange program. When Worf learned from him that their father had been falsely charged with betraying the Khitomer Outpost, he set off on a mission to clear his family name. Before the Klingon High Council, Worf asked Captain Picard to be his Cha'Dlch -- ritual second.  Picard accepted by reciting the traditional acceptance, in Klingon -- "jIlajneS. ghIj qet jaghmeyjaj." While wearing this robe Picard survived an assassination attempt.  The full-length hooded robe is made of gray/black wool in a wave pattern. The costume is completed with a TNG command red uniform, boots and a replica gold chain.  The TNG costume tag reads: “165 Sins of the Father / Picard / Patrick Stewart / Overrobe.”  Julian’s Icons and Idols Hollywood Auction, Lot 250, Monday, December 16, 2019 - Stefan Park - Christie’s 40 Years of Star Trek, Lot 680, Friday, October 6, 2006.
