Château Picard 2401 Bottle

The prop consists of a brown clear standard wine bottle with an imitation black wax top and a silver magnesium label with raised letters that read: “Grand Cru Classe Château Picard 2401 Grand Vin De Bordeaux Appellation La Barre Controlle.” There is also an etching of the vineyard in the center of the label.

This bottle was production made for use in the wine crates outside of Château Picard and/or in the Ten Forward Bar in the Star Trek: Picard season two episode #201 “The Star Gazer,” which aired the week of March 3, 2022. Château Picard in TNG was in La Barr, France which was in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté wine region. In season two Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Lombardi decided that Jean-Luc Picard would have vineyards in two locations – Bordeaux and Bourgogne. Thus, when they were making bottles and crates for season two, they made them for both locations. Jean-Luc Picard holds a bottle identical to this in a scene outside the Château where these bottles are being stored in Bordeaux wood crates for shipping.
