Classic TNG Combadge

The classic (2350’s to 2360’s) delta TNG combadge (2 in. x 1 ½ in.) is made of white metal that was molded based on the original TNG combadges and painted the classic silver and gold. The badge is attached to the uniform with two magnets set into a black plastic rectangle with oval edges.

This combadge was production made for use by Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard or Brent Spiner as Data in the Star Trek: Picard season one episode #101 “Remembrance” which aired the week of January 23, 2020. They wore them in the second dream sequence where they both were wearing late season TNG-era uniforms and Data was painting the image of his daughter and learned he could dream. The classic (2350’s to 2360’s) delta TNG combadge (2 in. x 1 ½ in.) is made of white metal that was molded based on the original TNG combadges and painted the classic silver and gold. The two main differences between the original TNG badge and the new badges were these were made of white metal and did not to include the black lines that bordered the delta, as that was previously included to make them pop on screen for the low-resolution TV standards of the time. The badge is attached to the uniform with two magnets set into a black plastic rectangle with oval edges. The badge came in a prop department clear zip lock bag labeled “OLD/NEW TNG BADGE.”
