Deanna Troi’s Starfleet Uniform

Worn by Marina Sirts as Deanna Troi in various Star Trek: TNG season seven episodes. She began wearing this Starfleet uniform in the season six two-part episode "Chain of Command" when Captain Jellico insisted she wear it while on duty. Troi wore civilian attire, including various colored jumpsuits, because she wanted to create a more approachable atmosphere for the crew to feel comfortable confiding in her as the ship's counselor. After the events of "Chain of Command," she began wearing it regularly while on duty. Troi was promoted to Commander in the seventh season episode "Thine Own Self" when she successfully passed the Bridge Officer's test. This back zip up late season style Starfleet jumpsuit uniform is made of jumbo spandex with a blue asymmetrical front and back, a black yoke extended to the sleeves, black side body panels and black pant legs with black elastic stirrups. Blue piping lines the Mandarin collar. Completing the costume are three original commander brass rank pips, and a replica combadge.
