While transporting two adversary civilizations to the conference planet of Parliament, the crew of the Enterprise passed through a mysterious "cloud" containing combinations of complex energy patterns. Doctor Crusher wore this visor while examining Worf as he lay sedated on one of the beds in sickbay which was being automatically monitored by the medical computers.
