Worn by Gates McFadden as Dr. Beverly Crusher in the feature film StarTrek VIII: First Contact, which opened on November 22, 1996. Dr. Crusher wears this costume on earth while helping Zefran Cochran establish first contact with the Vulcans and foil the Borg’s plans to conquer earth. The costume consists of a multicolored velour shirt, a pair of thick black socks, a brown suede coat with a wide white wool collar and cuffs and black “Durango” high top leather lace up boots. No authenticated trousers were found so a similar pair completes the costume. Various costume tags read "Dr. Crusher 21st Cent." One boot is labeled "Gates" and the other "Beverly."
