The costume consists of a purplish gray textured velour jumpsuit with a gray silk lined jacket.
Worn by Caroline Kava as Dr. Toby Russell in the Star Trek: TNG season five episode #216 “Ethics,” which aired the week of March 2, 1992. Doctor Toby Russell was a female scientist and neuro-specialist in the 24th century. Her research was concentrated in neurogenetics and she created several revolutionary medical technologies and drugs, most notably the genetronic replicator. Russell was controversial in her research methods, as she often risked the lives of her patients, she deemed unable to save for experimental treatments. She was described as not caring whether the patient survived, only if she gained data from the attempt. However, she defended this by saying that the data she gained helped many more lives. She used her dangerous experimental treatment on Worf who was paralyzed by an accident. The procedure was a success due to Worf's Klingon anatomy although Dr. Crusher objected. Dr. Russell wore this costume while she and Dr. Crusher treated a group of survivors from the crash of another starship. The costume consists of a purplish gray textured velour jumpsuit with a gray silk lined jacket. The jacket and jumpsuit have various sewn in tags denoting use in DS9 and Voyager. The costume tag reads: "216 Ethics Dr. Toby Russell Caroline Kava." Kent Karemaker February 11, 2014 - It’s a Wrap eBay Auction August 31, 2007.
