Used in the Star Trek: Picard season two episode #201 “The Star Gazer,” which aired the week of March 30, 2022. A type-N phaser pistol was a typical handheld directed-energy phaser sidearm used by Starfleet and United Federation of Planets. In Starfleet, it was standard issue for landing parties (away teams) and officers aboard the ship. These phaser pistols were used by the Stargazer’s crew to try to fend off the attack of the Borg.
