Handled by Ed Speleers as Jack Crusher in the post-credits scene of the Star Trek: Picard season three final episode #310 “The Last Generation,” which aired the week of April 20, 2023. The post-credits scene cut to Jack Crusher in his quarters on the rechristened Enterprise-G. He settled into his room and placed this framed photograph on the bedside table when Q made a surprise appearance, “Well look at you. A chip off the old block.” Jack replied, “Q, is that right.” A simple name for a complicated being,” said Q. Jack noted, “My father told me all about you. I thought you were dead.” Q retorted, “Oh, and here I was hoping the next generation wouldn't think so linearly. Young mortal you have much ahead of you.” “You told my father that humanities trial was over,” Jack said. Q replied, “It is, for him, but I'm here today because of you. You see yours, Jack, has just begun.” The prop consists of an organic design antique gilt bronze and glass picture frame (8 ¼” x 10 ¼”) holding a color photograph of Gates McFadden and Patrick Stewart taken at an event held during Star Trek: The Next Generation’s first season.
