Guinan’s Gold Outfit

Worn by Whoopi Goldberg as Guinan in the Star Trek: TNG season four episode #200 “Redemption Part I,” which aired the week of June 17, 1991.  Captain Jean-Luc Picard (as K'mpec's chosen Arbiter of Succession) and the Enterprise were asked to attend the installation of Gowron as the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council. Gowron informed Picard that the House of Duras was challenging Gowron's position and that could lead to a Klingon civil war. Guinan wore this costume at the start of the episode when she and Worf engaged in target practice in the Enterprise phaser range. The costume consists of olive gold metallic shirred pants, an olive gold crushed velvet top with matching shirred fabric on the shoulders and chest edged with olive gold satin, olive gold ankle high boots and a signature olive gold textured hat. Sewn in tags in the pants read “WOOPPI” and the top notes “L91.1.64.” The boots have labels on the bottom of the sole that read “L91.1.679 Whoopi.” The TNG costume tag reads “Guinan Whoopi Goldberg 4 pc olive gold cap tunic pant shoes.”  Henry Zimmerman December 2, 2023 - It’s A Wrap eBay Auction May 18, 2007.
