Seen in the Star Trek: TNG season seven episode #257 “Liaisons” which aired the week of September 27, 1993. The crew of the Enterprise welcomed aboard two Iyaaran ambassadors, Loquel and Byleth, who were visiting the ship as part of a cultural exchange that would also send Captain Picard to their home world, Iyar. Picard departed for Iyar on this Iyaaran shuttle with Voval, the shuttle pilot. Picard found Voval gruff and uncommunicative. Their awkward silence was disrupted by a sudden system wide power failure which caused them to crash land on an unidentified class M planet. Picard was unhurt and decided to seek help outside the shuttle when he detected a structure and some energy readings outside. While walking around the surface, he was struck by one of the planet's stormy electrical discharges and fell to the ground unconscious, and someone silently dragged him away.
