The flat black stand was also fabricated by the prop department; it has a square base approximately 4 in. x 4 in. with an off-center rod to hold the ship.
Jack Crusher placed this model on a shelf in his quarters aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise-G during the post-credits scene of Star Trek: Picard season 3 episode #310, “The Last Generation,” which aired the week of April 20, 2023. The post-credits scene cut to Jack Crusher in his quarters on the rechristened Enterprise-G. He settled into his room and placed this Enterprise-D model on the shelf in his quarters when Q made a surprise appearance.
