Used by Ed Speleers as Jack Crusher in the Star Trek: Picard season three episode #302 “Disengage,” which aired the week of February 23, 2023. The Eleos XII came under attack from Vadic, the captain of the heavily armed warship Shrike. Vadic said that there was a bounty on Jack and the Titan had one hour to turn him over or be destroyed. Captain Shaw threw Jack in the brig while they debated what to do. They discovered Jack had a checkered past; he was a conman who had committed multiple crimes under several aliases. Shaw was inclined to turn over Jack. Jack escaped confinement by using this device and planned to transport himself over to the Shrike. Right before he did, Beverly appeared and nodded to Picard, confirming to him that Jack was his son.
