Seen in the Star Trek: TNG season three episode #164 “The Offspring,” which aired the week of March 12, 1990. Lal was a Soong-type android constructed by Data in 2366 on the Enterprise. She exceeded Data's capabilities in several ways, notably by being able to complete more than sixty trillion calculations per second, using verbal contractions, and feeling emotions such as fear and love. She died after suffering a cascade failure in her neural net. As Lal was dying, she expressed her love for her father and thanked him for creating her, before summing up her brief life in a few short words.
