Worn by John Franklyn-Robbins as Macias in the Star Trek: TNG season seven episode #276 “Preemptive Strike,” which aired the week of May 16, 1994. Macias was a Bajoran native of Juhraya, a Federation colony on the wrong side of the line after the Federation-Cardassian treaty. He headed a Maquis cell and recruited Ro Laren, who initially was on a Starfleet undercover mission to subvert the Maquis insurrection. After his death by the Cardassians Ro Laren left Starfleet but before she did she told Commander Riker to tell Captain Picard she was sorry she let him down.
