Native American Artifact

The wood prop is about 13 inches tall and detailed to look like a native American artifact.

A Native American mansara seen in the Habak with Wesley Crusher in the Star Trek: TNG season seven episode #272 “Journey’s End,” which aired the week of March 28, 1994.  When Wesley returns to the Enterprise for a break from Starfleet Academy Captain Picard is given the assignment of evacuating Dorvan V, a 20-year-old enclave of North American Indians.  While on the planet a villager named Lakanta, recognizes Wesley and says that he has been waiting for him and can help him find the answers his troubled spirit seeks. Lakanta takes Wesley to the Habak, a traditional ceremonial chamber where he begins his spiritual odyssey which leads to Lakanta revealing himself to be the Traveler who will take Wesley to other planes of existence. The prop is about 13 inches tall with a round top portion made of wood painted in various colors in an American Indian motif with a metal stand made to look like wood.  The prop was matched with screen shots from the episode.  Nicholas Petry February 28, 2009 - Screen Used.
