Picard's Ancestor Nexus Painting

The painting is acrylic on canvas with a silver frame measuring 31.75 x 43.5 inches. The image depicts a Picard ancestor in a formal military uniform with a battleship in the upper left corner.

This painting is seen hanging prominently in Captain Picard’s home during scenes taking place in his perception of the Nexus in the feature film Star Trek VII: Generations, which opened on November 18, 1994.  While in the Nexus, an extra-dimensional realm where time has no meaning and anyone can experience whatever they desire, Captain Picard experiences a life that could have been if he had been married and had a family.  In this alternate reality he has a beautiful, lavish home with paintings of Picard ancestors lining the walls.  The painting is acrylic on canvas with beige beveled cloth matting in an antique silver frame measuring 31.75 x 43.5 inches.  The image depicts a Picard ancestor in a formal military uniform with a battleship in the upper left corner.  Profiles In History Hollywood Auction 83, Lot 1562, July 1, 2016 – The Collection of Patrick Stewart.
