Seen in the library at Château Picard in the Star Trek: Picard season three episode #301 “The Next Generation,” which aired the week of February 16, 2023. In 2368, Captain Jean-Luc Picard acquired a Ressikan flute through an experience he had related to a probe launched from a dead planet. The probe projected a particle beam to Picard's brain and played out a scenario by which Picard experienced over 50 years in the span of only 25 actual minutes as he lived the life of a man called Kamin. Picard considered the flute to be one of his most prized possessions and kept it on his desk in his ready room aboard the Enterprise-D and E and in Château Picard. Picard held it when telling Laris of his readiness for a new adventure, explaining "These things from my past, they are so dear to me. They're mementos of dear friends, old and new. But they're memories." The flute is made of metal painted bronze and has a brushed aluminum barrel. It has various irregularly shaped and sized keys. There is white twine wrapped around the middle of the barrel that ends in a tassel that hangs from the flute. The flute is held in a moss green case with a red velvet lining. This flute plays! The prop came in two prop department clear zip lock bag labeled “RESS FLUTE – DESK *ALWAYS OPEN*.”
