Worn by John de Lancie as Q on the Enterprise bridge in the Star Trek: TNG pilot #721 “Encounter at Farpoint,” which aired the week of September 28, 1987.  In this episode Q put humanity on trial for being a “grievously savage race.”  The term post-atomic horror was used by future Earth historians to refer to the global turmoil which resulted after the end of the Third World War in 2053. Because the war was a nuclear exchange, large populations of Humans were bombed out of existence, and the survivors were placed in jeopardy by radioactivity, supply shortages, and the collapse of most of the major governments. Q wore this costume to mock humanities savage history of war. The costume consists of a black vest featuring a silver chain mail pattern with various pockets, a drug delivery access device, matching gloves, padded helmet, and arm, leg, and lower torso armor of the same design.  Completing the costume is a silver cast metal “illuminati” style badge* for the top front of the helmet. The costume tags read “Q, 21st cent. scene 18-19.”  It’s A Wrap eBay Auction January 15, 2008. *Philippe Grillot March 22, 2014 - It’s A Wrap eBay Auction April 17, 2007.
