This armband was worn by members of the Romulan Rebirth Movement on Vashti in the Star Trek: Picard season one episode #104 “Absolute Candor” which aired the week February 13, 2020. Vashti was an inhabited planet located in a binary star system in the Qiris sector, within the Beta Quadrant. Terrans and Romulans lived on this world. By 2399, the inhabitants of Vashti suffered from poverty, degradation, and ethnic strife. Vashti was a hotbed of activity for members of the Romulan Rebirth movement, including former Senator Tenqem Adrev. The Romulan Rebirth movement was a paramilitary organization of Romulans with racist tendencies who claimed to be striving for the revival of their culture in the aftermath of the Romulan supernova. Members were identified by this armband worn on the left arm, and they carried swords and disruptors. The armband is made of brushed aluminum with a black, gray, and red decal. It is mounted on a brown leather strap with Velcro.
