Seen on the necks of the three Romulan dissidents in the Star Trek: TNG season six episode #240 “Face of the Enemy,” which aired the week of February 8, 1993. Troi suddenly awoke from a restless sleep to discover that she had somehow been transformed to look like a Romulan officer. She learned that she was part of a plot to allow the escape of three Romulan dissidents -- Vice-proconsul M’ret of the Imperial Senate and two of his top aides -- in a plan arranged by Ambassador Spock. Troi and her Romulan accomplice N’Vek successfully transported the three Romulan dissidents to the bridge of the Enterprise through a low-power disruptor beam while they were in stasis due to these devices.
