Worn by Mark Lenard as Sarek in the Star Trek: TNG season three episode #171 “Sarek,” which aired the week of May 14, 1990. Sarek, the renowned Vulcan Ambassador and father of Spock, was on a mission to establish relations between the Federation and the Legaran.  The mission was threatened when it was learned he was suffering from Bendii Syndrome -- characterized by a loss of emotional control.  Picard proposed that he and Sarek participate in a mind-meld in which they would become telepathically linked. When Sarek agreed, Picard suffered through a whirlwind of the Ambassador's emotions unleashed in his mind, while Sarek used the captain's strength to successfully negotiate with the Legaran delegates. The Vulcan ears (~2 ½ in. x 2 in.) are composed of a foam latex material and feature hand painted detailing. The left ear is longer than the right ear by ¼ in.  Julien’s Bid Long & Prosper Auction, Lot 80, Saturday November 9, 2024 - Ray Minarcik - Doug Drexler.
