Scholar/Artist Costume

The costume consists of a cream polyester tunic with a cotton pleated chest and nylon ruffled sleeves, cream polyester pants with snaps at the ankles to create a pleat in the leg, and a soft felt cream beret.

Worn by Randy Oglesby as the Scholar/Artist in Riva’s Chorus in the Star Trek: TNG season two episode #132 “Loud as a Whisper,” which aired the week of January 9, 1989. The Enterprise was ordered to escort Federation Negotiator Riva to a dispute between two races. However, when the deaf Riva's 'chorus' was murdered by one of the factions, he had no way to communicate and had to rely on Data to succeed at his mission. Riva's Chorus was a trio of telepaths who had lived with Riva since his childhood and who were extraordinarily attuned to his thoughts and emotions. Riva himself was deaf, a hereditary condition of the ruling dynasty of his planet, Ramatis III, and the chorus interpreted his thoughts and spoke on his behalf. The Scholar/Artist spoke on matters of the intellect and creativity, providing analysis and insight. The costume consists of a cream polyester tunic with a cotton pleated chest and nylon ruffled sleeves, cream polyester pants with snaps at the ankles to create a pleat in the leg, and a soft felt cream beret.  The costume was screen matched.  John Castillo February 2, 2022 - It's A Wrap eBay Auction April 13, 2007.
