Seen on a computer screen in the Star Trek: TNG season five episode #207 “Unification, Part I,” which aired the week of November 4, 1991. The Enterprise was recalled to Starbase 234 by Admiral Brackett. When they met, she informed Captain Picard that one of the Federation's most prestigious and celebrated ambassadors had suddenly disappeared without a trace three weeks ago. Then two days ago, intelligence suggested that the ambassador was currently on the planet Romulus. The trip was unauthorized, and there were serious worries that he had defected. She showed Picard this distorted image taken on Romulus by long-range scanner on his desktop monitor that, after image enhancement, clearly showed the face of the missing ambassador -- Spock. The color photograph is 21 ½" x 15 ½". It was made intentionally hazy to look like a reconnaissance photograph. This was then projected onto a desk top computer screen.
