Tasha Yar's Starfleet Uniform

The first season style Starfleet jumpsuit uniform is made of jumbo spandex with a gold asymmetrical front and back and a black yoke extended to the sleeves, black side body panels and black pant legs and black elastic stirrups. Gold piping lines the neck, yoke and the upside-down-V-shaped splits on the bottom of the pants. The zip up front has bust darts and double hook-and-eye closures. Completing the costume are two original Lieutenant brass rank pips** and a replica combadge.

Worn by Denise Crosby as Tasha Yar in the Star Trek: TNG season one episodes #107 “The Last Outpost,” which aired the week of October 19, 1987, and #106 “Where No One Has Gone Before,” which aired the week of October 26, 1987.  Tasha was the original security chief under Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the Enterprise.  She was born on the failing colony world of Turkana IV in 2337, but both her parents were killed in the crossfire among the planet's cadre infighting just after her younger sister Ishara was born.  She led a heroic life until her death by the malevolent creature Armusin in 2364.
