Seen in the Star Trek: TNG season five episode #208 “Unification, Part II,” which aired the week of November 11, 1991. The T'Pau (NSP-17938) was a Vulcan Mahl'kom group Apollo-class transport that served in the Vulcan National Merchant Fleet in the mid-24th century. The T'Pau was decommissioned in 2364 and after being stolen from the surplus depot the Romulans refurbished the vessel and used it, along with two other stolen vessels of the same class, as part of a "peace" envoy in their failed attempt to conquer Vulcan. The three ships were later destroyed by a Romulan warbird to prevent the crew of the Enterprise from taking custody of them and the Romulan troops aboard. Picard, Data, and Spock thwarted the plan when Ambassador Spock broadcasted the following message: “By now, Federation sensors are tracking three Vulcan ships crossing the Neutral Zone. These ships carry a Romulan invasion force and must be stopped.” The ring ship, designed by Rick Sternbach, is made from cast resin and fiberglass with plastic details.
