U.S.S. Phoenix Sensor Array

The sensor array is made of styrene and fiberglass with resin elements, painted white with red and black Starfleet markings and trim. The piece measures 8.5” x 15.5” x 6.5”.

Seen in the Star Trek: TNG season four episode #186 “The Wounded,” which aired the week of January 28, 1991. The Phoenix (NCC-65420) was a 24th century Federation Nebula-class starship operated by Starfleet under the command of Captain Benjamin Maxwell. In 2367, Captain Maxwell turned vigilante with the Phoenix, destroying a Cardassian outpost and several ships in Sector 21505 seemingly without provocation. He claimed his actions were justified because the Cardassians were preparing to renew hostilities only a year after peace had been settled with the United Federation of Planets. As a result, Starfleet dispatched the Enterprise-D, to intercept the Phoenix and Captain Picard managed to diffuse the situation without further loss of life. Despite the situation, Picard warned Gul Macet that Maxwell's suspicions may have had a basis in truth. The sensor array is made of styrene and fiberglass with resin elements, painted white with red and black Starfleet markings and trim. The piece measures 8.5” x 15.5” x 6.5”.
