Worn by Michael Dorn as Worf during the R’uustai in the Star Trek: TNG season three episode #153 “The Bonding,” which aired the week of October 23,1989. The crew of the Enterprise dealt with the tragic aftermath of a failed mission led by Worf on the Koinonian home world when a landmine killed a young crew member, archeologist Marla Aster. Her 12-year-old son Jeremy, who became an orphan, was comforted by an alien entity who assumed her form. It was a non-corporeal lifeform that survived the Koinonian Wars. To prevent further suffering from that conflict, the being recreated Jeremy's mother to comfort him. Ultimately, Jeremy chose to let go of the illusion of his mother and participated in the Klingon bonding ceremony with Worf -- the R'uustai. The costume consists of a baldric made of metallic silver colored synthetic blend fabric featuring metal studs, a gold resin Klingon insignia, and a gold color leatherette backing, and a full-length tabard made of padded gray synthetic blend fabric with metallic silver colored paneling along the front, shoulders and back.
